Here are the rules for our Minecraft server!

1. No griefing or destroying other players' builds.

2. No cheating or using hacks.

3. Be respectful to all players.

4. No cyberbullying or harassment.

If you do not follow the rules:

You could be banned from the server for a certain amount of time.

Setup Instructions

1. To join on a Java Edition device AKA computer:

- Open Minecraft and go to the "Multiplayer" screen.

- Click "Add Server" and enter whatever name you want for the server to be called.

- Enter the server IP address.

- Click "Done" and then "Join Server".

2. To join on a Nintendo Switch:

- First, go to the home screen and open "System Settings".

- Go to the "Internet" tab and click "Internet Settings".

- click on your current network then click "Change Settings".

- Set "DNS Settings" to "Manual".

- Change the "Primary DNS" to 104.238.130.180 and the "Secondary DNS" to 8.8.8.8, then click "Save".

- Go back to the home screen of the Switch.

- Open Minecraft (make sure you are logged into your Microsoft account).

- Click "Play" and go to the "Servers" tab at the top of the screen.

- Join the server called "The Hive".

- After the message of the day appears (it may not always appear), select "Connect to a Server".

- In the field that says "Please enter the IP or address", enter the server IP.

- Leave the port box as it is.

- In the field labeled "(Optional) Display Name on Server List", enter the name you want to use for the server.

- Turn on "Add to server list" if you want to save it for future use.

- If you do not turn it on, you will need to repeat these steps each time.

- Click "Submit" and you will join the server.

3. To join on a PlayStation using lan:

- Go home and navigate to "settings".

- click on "network".

- Then click on "setup network connection".

- Now click "use a lan cable".

- If you want to use wifi instead of lan, follow these steps.

- Then click "custom".

- Then on the top of the screen you should see "IP Address Settings".

- Click "automatic".

- Now on the top of the screen you should see "DHCP Host Name"

- Click "Do Not Specify".

- Now on the top of the screen you should see "DNS Settings"

- Click "Do Not Specify".

- Now click "Primary DNS" and enter 104.238.130.180.

- Click "Secondary DNS" and enter 8.8.8.8.

- Click next

- Click "automatic" for MTU settings.

- You can click watever you wnat for proxy settings

- Now click "test internet connection"

4. To join on a PlayStation using wifi:

- Go home and navigate to "settings".

- click on "network".

- Then click on "setup network connection".

- Now click "use a wifi".

- If you want to use lan instead of wifi, follow these steps.

- Select your wifi network and enter the password.

- Then wait for it to connect.

- Then click "custom".

- Then on the top of the screen you should see "IP Address Settings".

- Click "automatic".

- Now on the top of the screen you should see "DHCP Host Name"

- Click "Do Not Specify".

- Now on the top of the screen you should see "DNS Settings"

- Click "Do Not Specify".

- Now click "Primary DNS" and enter 104.238.130.180.

- Click "Secondary DNS" and enter 8.8.8.8.

- Click next

- Click "automatic" for MTU settings.

- You can click watever you wnat for proxy settings

- Now click "test internet connection"

Warning: To join on a Nintendo Switch, you will need a Microsoft account and Nintendo Online.

Warning: To join on a PlayStation, you will need a Microsoft account and PlayStation Plus.
